How to make moeny form Tumblr ?

Not many posts are talking about Tumblr, so if you are looking for ideas, I can share with you what I did to make some cash. It is a super simple method that only took me about an hour of my time 3-4 times a week for two months. (It's about $30/hour if you're doing the math.)

I have repeated this several times over the past year and made money each time.

How to make moeny form Tumblr ?

Here are the steps that I followed:

I chose a niche that I found interesting and created a new Tumblr blog.

I spent some time choosing a good name that was both descriptive and SEO friendly, and also chose a user and SEO-friendly theme. This was important!

I selected an avatar that was easy to see in small thumbnail form, represented my niche, and made people want to click on it.

Every day, I spent one hour browsing Tumblr and reblogging content that fit my niche. Reblogging other people's content was easier than getting it off my computer, and it helped to increase my followers.

I followed every Tumblr blog that I reblogged from, as well as all related blogs that I found. This helped to increase my followers and helped me find new content.

When I blogged/reblogged, I made sure to put my Tumblr URL in the "Clicking this photo links to the URL" box and replaced whatever link was in there with my Tumblr URL. This created backlinks to my Tumblr blog whenever someone else reblogged my post and helped to increase my followers.

I also commented appropriately, using keywords that fit my niche and the photo. This was basic SEO, and it also created backlinks to my Tumblr blog whenever someone else reblogged my post and helped to increase my followers.

Instead of publishing my post immediately, I selected "Add to queue" and set my blog to publish 6-10 times per day, depending on how much content I had in my queue. This allowed me to have 2-3 months of content posting on autopilot.

I used tags to categorize my content, which helped to keep people on my blog longer.

I found an affiliate or CPA that fit my niche after I built up a decent amount of content and a follower base.

I avoided plastering my Tumblr blog with banners and ads because it could drive people away. Instead, I selected banners that fit my niche and blog feel well and put one or two of them on the theme for my Tumblr blog.

Every so often, instead of putting my blog URL in the "Clicking this photo links to the URL" box when I reblogged, I put my affiliate link in instead. I usually shortened the link with a custom short URL that fit the niche and affiliate. Many affiliates have free content that you can use to promote them and landing pages tailored to that specific content.

Once I had built up a few thousand followers and was ranking well on Google, I sold my Tumblr blog. I continue to get affiliate traffic from the old posts that are still being reblogged by others, and I made a good chunk of change for the blog.

This is a very basic, repeatable, and easy way to make some cash. There might be parts that I left out or parts that can be improved upon, but there you go... go do it!
