Hogwarts Legact sells 12 million copies in two weeks.

 WB Games has announced sales of its newly released Hogwarts Legacy game . It sold more than 12 million copies worldwide in just the first two weeks of its release on the new current generation devices and PC.

Yesterday , Variety interviewed the development team at WB Games. We first learned that the company was very pleased with the sales of Hogwarts Legacy, and thanked the players for their support of the game. After that, it was hinted that there was an idea to start developing a second part .

WB Games was late in announcing that the game had sold more than 12 million copies worldwide within just 14 days of launch. These sales resulted in $850 million in revenue and the game still has a lot to go.

Hogwarts Legacy opened with amazing player engagement, surpassing 267 million hours played from February 10th to February 21st. Yesterday, Warner Games revealed that the game has broken company records with 280 million hours played to date.

Also according to the company, there has been an increase in fan engagement with the game globally overall with the Wizarding World Digital site garnering 300% higher traffic compared to the average monthly visitor in the first 10 days of February.

During our fourth-quarter earnings call, CEO David Zaslav talked about the impressive returns and noted the media giant's continued focus on Harry Potter. He also talked about plans to take full advantage of these unique addresses.

We note that all these achievements pertain to the current generation only, as the version of the previous generation is scheduled to be launched next April.

During an interview with  IGN , Avalanche revealed that there are no plans for additional DLC coming for Hogwarts Legacy. Specifically, the developers have stated that there are no current plans, but that doesn't mean that in the future, the game won't be supported in some way.

Curiously, the game hinted at the existence of a Quidditch DLC related to wizards. However, the development team did not acknowledge him in this interview and refused to comment on any inquiries about him.
